Description
Winter of 1921-1922
Mother Mann's first
winter in Miami.
We stopped first in Daytona
where Hatchard's had preceeded
us. They were located in the
Johnston home, S. Beach Fl
and we secured a house across
the street. Hatchards had their
tent all set up for us, with
"Welcome" in big letters in the
front, but we preferred a house.
Joseph Tarbill was there also.
On Christmas 1921 H--s and I-
had a Christmas dinner in our
home at Sunset Inn- on the
Tomoka Rev. Dr and Mrs Wilson of
Black Mt, N. Carolina guests too.
All were sick--turkey- but we
went on to Miami Dec 26-'21
and secured a house big enuf
for six adults- including Mrs
Porter of Chi. Hatchards followed
us home-in May- for three weeks. then
we all went to Crings -Hinkley's-Walls.
