Description

E.L. Daugherty home on

North Allen Ave. Altadena, Cal

All winter 1924 we enjoyed

indescribable scenes from all

of our windows - [illegible] Catalina Is

60 mi distant appeared to be

only five or so miles away when

atmospheric conditions were favorable

and Mt Gorgonio 100 mi down state

was almost always in sight, beside

many villages and ranches and

other mountains, but it was not

Wilson we enjoyed most because

it was our nearest mt. This scene

was framed by our windows at

breakfast time nearly every morning

for 3 1/2 months. It was near ^to living

room front windows where we

moved our breakfast things, and

partly filled up in scenery and

were so happy because of our

splendid location.
