Description

Thus far we had been

seeing "thumbers", folk on foot

in other words, because the

R.R. was not far away.

Just back of us, around the

rough chocolate colored

rocks was a splendid

specimen of an old timey

tramp and I was somewhat

apprehensive that he

might catch up with us

while we were taking this

snapshot - but he didn't!

These travelers mostly were

young men, more or less

dressed up. "All dressed up

and nowhere to go," perhaps.

I was very thankful there

was no place on outside of

car where the many willies

could hang on, because some of

them looked like they might do that

very thing.
