Description

After crossing Mesquite

Dry Lake, ^ [illegible] we began going

upgrade with a great mt scene

ahead. [line drawing] with

a baby peak in between two

sloping walls, which appeared

to form no opening for a roadway.

But we had learned that an

apparently solid wall often had an

opening, or overlapping fold at

close range tho we had fun

guessing which way the road

would lead us.

When thru this gateway we saw

a mt enclosed with garden.

Distance is so deceptive in the

clear western atmosphere, but I'd

say it was three or more miles

across this beautiful nature

garden to an opening on the opposite

side. When thru it we ran into a

down grade ^and a rather narrow

wall lined roadway where we

had a puncture and I saw my chance

to pick flowers galore. This was when

I found beautiful light blue daisies
