Description

On Mohave Desert

between Victorville, Cal. and

El Cajon Pass.

April 10 - '24

Friend Hatchard, who with

his good wife and her sister Mary

Simpson had followed us to

Riverside took us over El Cajon

Pass to see the Joshua

Trees on the Victorville side.

The cause of the merriment

(behind my back) Mr Hatchards

hat (fastened with hat pin) blew

up when exposure was about

to be made. Mr H-- slammed

it down on his head then covered

his face just as camera on

film was exposed. Chas.

enjoyed his discomfiture.

Sister Mary and Mrs Poter (with us too)

in car.
