Mike Atkinson, who grew up in Galena, remembers picking up the Columbus Dispatch to deliver it to subscribers. Mike also remembers meeting his cousin, Larry Bennet, at the store where he picked up the papers for his route. Mike says, "We met there early in the morning to pick up our papers. He went in one direction and I went in the other." Two signs hang from the top beams, one advertising the Columbus Dispatch and the other advertising paint.
